Thomas C. Elliott

WELLSVILLE – Thomas C. Elliott, 73, of Wellsville, passed away Friday, May 29, 2015, at his home following a lengthy illness.

He was born July 18, 1941, in East Liverpool, the son of the late Donald "Bill" and Bernice (Felton) Elliott. Tom was also preceded in death by two great-granddaughters: Emma and Maiya Lewis.

Tom graduated from Wellsville High School in 1959. He was employed in the electric furnace department for the former Crucible Steel Mill, before retiring in 1982. He was a member of the American Legion Post 70, the VFW in Tiltonsville, the East Liverpool Moose Lodge 122, and he was a former volunteer firefighter in Wellsville. Tom was Catholic by faith.

Survivors include his wife, Dianne (Williams) Elliott, whom he married May 19, 2006; one daughter: Shelly Poynter and her husband, Steve, of Wellsville; one son: Scott Elliott of Jacksonville, FL; three sisters: Ruth Hepp of St. Augustine, FL, Jackie Garbutt of Surprise, AZ, and Becky Piko and her husband, Lenny, of Wintersville; and one brother: James Elliott and his wife, Mary Ann, of Wellsville. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and his pet dog, Toby.

Friends may call from 5:00-8:00 Tuesday, June 2, 2015, at the Roberts Funeral Home, 631 Main Street in Wellsville.
