WELLSVILLE - Thomas R. Reed, 86, of Wellsville, passed away Wednesday, December 25, 2024, at Trinity Medical Center West in Steubenville.

He was born August 5, 1938, in East Liverpool, the son of the late Robert H. and Kathryn O. (Wooley) Reed. He was also preceded in death by Margaret Jane Reed, Suzanne Reed Henthorne, Maxine Reed DeLeo, and James Reed.

Thomas graduated from Wellsville High School in 1956. He served in the United States Marine Corps after high school.  He was previously employed as a roll turner foreman for the former Crucible Steel Mill before retiring in 1982. Most recently, Tom was employed at Campbell Signs. He was a member of Yellow Creek Presbyterian Church where he served in many positions.

Survivors include his loving wife, Joan Irene (Nightingale) Reed, whom he married August 22, 1959; and his sons: Richard Reed of Pittsburgh, Michael (Catherine Joy) Reed of Wellsville, and Scott (Nadine Cronin) Reed of Marysville, OH. Thomas is also survived by his family members: William "Bodie" Reed, Timothy Reed, Kathryn Reed Croskey, Rebecca Reed, and Amy Reed Lively. He had seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

The memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at the Yellow Creek Presbyterian Church, 17365 State Route 45, Wellsville, OH  43968, with Jerry Cunningham and David Goodman officiating. The Tri-State Burial Group will accord military honors. Family and friends may gather one hour prior to the service at the church.

Tom will be buried at a later date in The National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
