Velma J. "Peg" Minor

IRONDALE - Velma J."Peg" Minor, 83, of Irondale, passed away Monday, February 18, 2019, at East Liverpool City Hospital.

She was born August 15, 1935, in Wellsville, the daughter of the late Albert and Lula (Bailey) Morris. In addition to her parents, Peg was preceded in death by her son, John Minor; four sisters: Helen, Betty, Nellie, and Esther; and five brothers: Orville, Virgil, Dick, Buster, and Paul.

Peg attended Highlandtown United Methodist Church and spent her time as a homemaker, raising her children and caring for her family.

Survivors include her husband, John Minor, whom she married December 5, 1950; two sons: Roger Minor and his wife, Marjorie, of Salineville, and Tom Minor and his wife, Carol, of Wellsville; one sister, Freida Springer of East Liverpool; and one brother, Albert Morris of East Liverpool. Also surviving are six grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 22, 2019, at the Roberts Funeral Home with Pastor Mikayla Kovacik of the church officiating.

Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
