Viola A. Cuffaro

WELLSVILLE - Viola A. Cuffaro, 95, of Carnegie, PA, formerly of Wellsville, passed away Tuesday, March 8, 2016, at her daughter's home.

She was born October 2, 1920, in Wellsville, the daughter of the late Donato and Marie (Vallera) Saracco. Viola was preceded in death on April 28, 1989, by her husband, Frank "Chick" Cuffaro, whom she married September 10, 1938. She was also preceded in death by two sisters: Betty Laughlin and Eleanor Wain; and three brothers: Keets, Louie, and Anthony "Tucker" Saracco.

Viola was a homemaker and a loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. She was a member of the former Immaculate Conception Church and House of Prayer.

Survivors include two daughters: Marietta Cuffaro of Carnegie, PA and Catherine Fitzsimmonds and her husband, Thomas, of Dayton, OH; one son: James V. Cuffaro and his wife, Karen, of Pittsburgh, PA; one sister: Mary Lou Barton of Wellsville; and one brother: James Saracco and his wife, Jean, of Wellsville. Also surviving are one granddaughter, Amy Heart of New York City and one grandson, Daniel Rubin of Columbus, OH.

The funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm Saturday, March 12, 2016, at the Roberts Funeral Home with Pastor Kim Gadd of House of Prayer officiating.

Burial will be in St. Elizabeth Cemetery.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the Roberts Funeral Home, 631 Main Street in Wellsville.
