Virgie Irene Williams

EAST LIVERPOOL - Virgie Irene Williams, 100, of East Liverpool, passed away Tuesday, September 5, 2017, at the home of her son-in-law, Thomas Bennett, on Irish Ridge Road in Glenmoor. She was born September 29, 1916, in East Liverpool, OH, the daughter of the late Lowell and Julia (Dugan) Smith.

She is survived by her son-in-law, Thomas Bennett of Glenmoor; and her grandsons: Jeffrey Bennett and his wife, Susan, and William Bennett.

Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her infant son, James Black; her daughter, JoAnn Black Bennett; and two brothers and four sisters.

Mrs. Williams was a welder at American Bridge during World War II and later was employed at Homer Laughlin China Company from which she retired.

No services will be conducted as per her wish.

Burial will be in Calcutta United Presbyterian Cemetery.

Roberts Funeral Home in Wellsville is entrusted with the arrangements.
