Vonda Kay Ulbright

WELLSVILLE - Vonda Kay Ulbright, 56, of Wellsville, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, December 15, 2022, at her home.

She was born February 16, 1966, in Oberlin, Ohio, the daughter of Donna (Kelly) Carnahan and her husband, Don, of Hammondsville and the late Robert Vance. In addition to her father, Vonda was preceded in death by her sister, Robin Marie Norman.

Vonda attended Stanton Local High School and later earned her GED. She graduated from the Jefferson County Career Center's police academy and previously worked as a police officer for Saline Township. Vonda enjoyed taking care of others and was most recently employed as a home health care aide. She was a talented artist who liked to draw, color, and make crafts. Vonda also had a fondness for the outdoors where she enjoyed camping and fishing. She was a member of the Wellsville First Christian Church.

Survivors include her husband, David Ulbright, whom she married December 15, 2017; two sons: Doug (Bridget) Stone, Jr. of New Somerset and Brad Stewart of Hammondsville; and three grandchildren: Brianna, Memphis, and Miriam.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, December 19, 2022, at the Roberts Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Blakeley of the Wellsville First Christian Church officiating.

Burial will follow in Hammondsville Cemetery where the committal service will be conducted by Pastor Dan Crowe of the Hammondsville Methodist Church.

Family and friends may call two hours prior to the service on Monday at the Roberts Funeral Home, 631 Main Street in Wellsville.
