Walter Edward "Walt" Burns

EAST LIVERPOOL - Walter Edward "Walt" Burns, 87, of East Liverpool, passed away Friday, October 27, 2017, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown.

He was born November 19, 1929, in Beaver County, PA, the son of the late Elmer and Susan (Bayne) Burns. In addition to his parents, Walt was preceded in death by his sister, Eleanor Walton, and his brothers: Robert and Paul Burns.

Walt graduated from East Liverpool High School in 1950. He was employed for fourteen years as a bar straightener for Crucible Steel Mill before retiring in 1982 and then for nine years as a clerk at the East Liverpool Rite Aid before retiring in 1991. Walt was a member of Boyce United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Carrie (Roberts) Burns, whom he married June 12, 1971; one daughter, Connie Reardon and her husband, John, of Buford, GA; one granddaughter, Jennifer Hayduk and her husband, Luke; one grandson, Buddy Reardon; one great-granddaughter, Ava Grace Hayduk; and one great-grandson, Tyler Steven Hayduk.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, November 4, 2017, at Boyce United Methodist Church, 2 Anna Street, East Liverpool, OH.

Walt's arrangements are entrusted to Roberts Funeral Home in Wellsville.
