William "Bill" Bowlin

WELLSVILLE - William "Bill" Bowlin, 80, of Wellsville, passed away Thursday, October 8, 2020, at East Liverpool City Hospital following a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born August 13, 1940, in a log cabin in Kentucky, the son of the late Hester (Parton) and Clarence Bowlin, Sr. In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by one brother, Clarence Bowlin, Jr.

Bill was a lifelong truck driver. He was Baptist by faith.

Survivors include eight children: Connie Jo Bowlin of Salem, Lorrie Ann (James) Robinson of Boardman, William Scott (April) Bowlin of New Springfield, Linda Lee Bowlin of New Springfield, Phillip Keith Faulkner of Wellsville, Samuel David Bowlin of Youngstown, Rita (Richard) McCauley of Loris, SC, and Amanda (Adam) Runquist of Las Vegas, NV; and eight siblings: Mary Lou (Jim) Hite of Alliance, Sue Syne of Dayton, Nancy (Bob) Amey of Columbiana, Barbara (Mel) Hafner of Minerva, Linda Fey of Sebring, Randall (Sandy) Bowlin of Salem, Terry (Pam) Bowlin of Salem, and Debbie Grim of Sebring. Also surviving are seventeen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Friends and family may call from 2:00 - 4:00 PM on Sunday, October 11, 2020, at the Roberts Funeral Home, 631 Main Street in Wellsville. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and to adhere to social distancing guidelines, the number of people in the funeral home at one time will be limited. Also, as mandated by Governor Mike DeWine, face masks are required to be worn while in the funeral home.

A private family service will held. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.
