William R. "Bill" Grodhaus

WELLSVILLE - William R. "Bill" Grodhaus, 69, of Wellsville, passed away Sunday, January 31, 2016, at East Liverpool City Hospital following a sudden illness.

He was born September 16, 1946, in East Liverpool, the son of the late Homer and Hazel (Thomas) Grodhaus. In addition to his parents, Bill was also preceded in death by one sister, June Williams, and one brother, Richard Grodhaus.

Bill graduated from Southern Local High School in 1966. He was employed for twenty-five years as a security guard for East Liverpool City Hospital before retiring in 2014.

Survivors include his wife, Catherine "Cathy" (Prezzia) Grodhaus, whom he married January 18, 1969; two sons: Phillip Grodhaus and William Bryan Grodhaus, both of Wellsville; three sisters: Elsie (Joe) Lyle of Wellsville, Sally (Glenn) Duck of Wellsville, and Shirley Plunkett of Wellsville; and three grandsons with whom he loved to spend time: Branzen, Will, and Cameren Grodhaus.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, February 4, 2016, at the Roberts Funeral Home with Pastor Dirk Hall of the Living Well Church officiating.

Burial will follow in Highlandtown Cemetery.
