William J. Palmer

WELLSVILLE - William J. Palmer, 66, of Wellsville, died Tuesday, April 15, 2014, at home following an apparent heart attack.

He was born October 9, 1947, in East Liverpool, the son of the late William C. and Naomi (Griffith) Palmer.

Bill graduated from Wellsville High School in 1965 and worked as a security guard for Homer Laughlin China Company. He was a member of Elks Lodge 1040 where he served as past Exalted Ruler. Bill loved sports and was an avid golfer.

He is survived by his brother: David R. Palmer and his wife, Sharon, of Lakeland, FL.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday at the Roberts Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Blakeley of the Wellsville First Christian Church officiating.

Burial will follow in Columbiana County Memorial Park.

Friends may call from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 pm on Monday, April 21, 2014, at the Roberts Funeral Home, 631 Main Street in Wellsville. There will be an Elks service at 6:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family wishes memorial tributes take the form of donations to your favorite charity.
